- "Now Rhinos Speak", https://nowrhinosspeak.com, GPS beacons inserted in the horns of the rhinoceros make it possible to follow the animal, to know when it approaches an area identified as particularly dangerous due to previous cases of poaching, and to immediately warn the rangers responsible for protecting it. The common point with our project is that this system alert the common point with this system is that local authorities and NGOs are directly alerted in the event of danger. However, this system only applies to rhinoceros and only those with a GPS beacon, unlike our project.
- “SOS Poaching”, https://mffp.gouv.qc.ca/la-faune/protection-de-faune/s-o-s-braconnage/ , a Quebec website managed by the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks which encourages denunciation to detect offenses committed against wildlife and its habitats.
This site is close to our project because it is based mainly on the cooperation of the inhabitants and on the vigilance of the local populations. The site is only effective if people take the trouble to fill out the testimonial information. But for the moment this system is limited to Quebec and it is not universal. In addition, there is no easy-to-use application but a website or a telephone number. - “Souvenirs: keep an eye out!”, A WWF guide that tells tourists and customers what items they are allowed to buy on vacation, while supporting local crafts. It informs the traveler about souvenirs to avoid, those for which permits are required and recommended souvenirs. The book is available on displays at airports, in travel agencies and various shop.
The information distribution format is the same as our project (book or digital book). It is also a prevention guide which is indicative but not binding. It's easy to access and relatively intuitive, almost child’s play because there are a red, orange or green light depending on the product. The main difference is that the WWF book is about items made from animals and our project is about the animals in general. - “WWF Amazing Planet”, https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/wwf-amazing-planet/id1481335004, A WWF application to explore the world and wildlife. There are new content each week, AR animals, fun-facts, videos, photos, maps, quizzes and animal noises! The children can learn about the extraordinary wonder and diversity on the planet.
Like our project, this application allows children to discover terrestrial fauna through games, photos, quizzes, augmented reality. But our application also aims to raise awareness, which WWF's does not. Indeed we want to integrate a "responsibility" part by integrating diagrams on the decline in species, on the increase in endangered species ...
Project 1: Animals too (=Balance ton braconnier)
Context
when? where? who? why?
Principle: Participatory application that allows to denounce and geolocalize in a few clicks the poachers.
When: As soon as a suspicious person or illegal merchandise is spotted

Who: Civilians would report and enforcement would be handled by NGOs and governments who would receive the information:
- Tourists and tour guides on Safari (Safaris are the favorite place of poachers to recover the rarest species).
- Civilians with boats in the ports who may be present at the loading of suspicious cargoes
- Cross-border commuters who may witness suspicious regular return trips or loading/unloading to their homes.
Why: To fight against species trafficking by involving a maximum of actors who are usually not involved in this fight when they can have a front-row seat.
Target
for whom?
The information collected will be intended for those involved in the fight against trafficking in protected species, who will all have access to the data transmitted by the premises on the application in order to conduct their investigations and if possible make arrests.
- State font (each country will be selectable in the application and will have its own language)
- NGO: WWF, Wildlife Angel, Awely, TRAFFIC All associations that will prove their commitment against poaching and request access to the information collected on the application.

what? how?
- What: A freely available application designed for those who have access to information from their home or workplace and want to help against the trafficking of protected species. Warning: in case of false denunciation or hoax, the person can immediately be removed from the application by the authorities receiving the information.
- How: Invitation first to select the country in which to report the crime found, then to send the geolocation of the precise place where it was found. In addition to the location, a text space will be dedicated to the description of the civil offence reported. There will also be an option to attach photos, videos or voice recordings.

Project 2: Wikipedianimals in danger for kids
Context
when? where? who? why?
Principle: Awareness and information about protected species for children.
- When: In toddler classes at school (in kindergarten in France for example) and also at home as an educational book/game supervised by parents on a touch-sensitive tablet.
- Where: In developed countries because tactile shelves are needed, the aim being to raise awareness among future buyers so that they are never the poachers' customers. In Europe and Asia mainly
- Who: Small children only who have access to tactile tablets at home or at school (children 3 to 7 years old). They will learn about the issues and dangers around protected species while discovering animals and having fun.
- Why: To take the problem seriously from an early age and that these children are made aware of the risks and become attached to these animals and that they grow up never wanting to take part in these massacres.
Target
for whom?
Even if the application is intended for young children, they will be too young to decide to download it themselves. Our target is therefore on the one hand parents looking for educational games that make sense or that can themselves be invested in the animal cause. On the other hand, our target will also be all schools with tablet-type equipment in Asia or Europe in order to use our wikipedianimals to educate children.

what? how?
- What : A paying application capable of emitting sounds and using augmented reality for parents or schools wanting to educate young children about endangered species.
- How: Everything must be read and supervised by the adult in charge. Easy access application with a very colorful design and childish language. The application will be like a story, a ballad in the land of animals. The children will be able to select a country, then in each country will be listed the endangered animals of the country as cards. By clicking on the animal, very simplified explanations in childish language will be available to explain why the animal is in danger and what the risks for biodiversity would be if it were to disappear. The child will also be able to see the animal in augmented reality and hear its roar.
